Gravel cycling can be for anyone who enjoys being on a bike and has the basic bike handling skills to navigate gravel and dirt roads. The terrain will usually be undulating and rolling with some hills to ascend/descend. Also keep in mind that there will usually be sections of tarmac which could be a welcome respite from miles of gravel! Keep in mind that we will usually have a van following along to sweep up anyone who would like to have a shorter day or if the legs just aren’t firing that day.

You arrive at our designated starting point hotel. We will enjoy a welcome dinner and go over the general itinerary for the week. Following breakfast the next morning we can do a quick bike fitting and get ourselves dialed in for the coming days. Our guides will choose an appropriate warmup ride so we can get comfortable on our bikes and work out any kinks and get the legs firing for the week to come.
The coming days will look similar as we’ll continue our cycling exploration of the region stopping for coffee breaks and a nice lunch in whatever historic village we find ourselves in midday. Usually we’ll be done cycling by early afternoon so we’ll have time to enjoy the hotel amenities, explore the village we might be in and taste the local and regional wines.
Our last evening we’ll enjoy a final dinner together, regale in the many miles and sights we’ve shared together and make sure your travel logistics for the following day are set for points beyond.
